Hawaii County officials evicted several people from Kawa Bay Thursday morning.

Hawaii County officials evicted several people from Kawa Bay Thursday morning.

Officials served a writ of possession to Abel Lui, who has been living on the land for years, and who fought the county’s attempts to remove him from the property for the last four years.

County officials also imposed a 30-day ban on anyone using the property or accessing the bay, to allow time to conduct an archaeological inventory survey.
